Single Plate Sensor 653/1
Underband system
Wagner metal detectors monitor conveyor currents. As soon as a magnetic or non-magnetic metal part of sufficient size passes through the search area, it is detected and a potential-free relay contact is switched. The type 653/1 is a sub-band system.
The transmitter and receiver coils are firmly encapsulated with special filling material in a shielding sheet steel housing. Our devices are therefore very resistant to mechanical and thermal loads. The control electronics can be mounted up to 50 metres away from the probe. No special knowledge is required for commissioning.
If none of our standard devices can be installed due to particularly difficult installation conditions, we manufacture customised special versions, e.g. for dosing belts.
Functional principle
HOW DO metal detectors WORK?
Metal objects in the conveyed material briefly and slightly change the field lines of the search field due to their metal properties as they pass through.
Any amplitude and phase changes in the field are transmitted to the control electronics.
