- Only as much adhesive force as necessary - in most applications, it is not just a matter of generating maximum adhesive force, the correct dosage is often much more important. The force must be adapted to the respective conditions or to the workpiece in order to prevent distortion and deformation, for example. Our USG provides up to 16 different levels of force via BCD-coded input signals as standard. If this needs to be refined, a total of up to 256 levels can be generated via 4 additional inputs and called up reproducibly at any time.
- Using different magnet types in one application - no problem. Once communicated to the USG via the so-called calibration process, up to four different parameter sets can be managed for specific magnet types. This is also possible by using 24 V inputs.
- If the performance of a single device is not sufficient for large magnetic chucks, for example, the entire network can be controlled and monitored together by connecting several USGs in parallel.
What our control devices are particularly good at is reversing polarity or demagnetising. As the name of the device suggests, it has been specially designed to ensure optimum demagnetisation of the magnet and the workpieces. The magnetic field structures generated during the clamping process should be eliminated as far as possible. For this purpose, a pole reversal programme is run, which consists of a certain number of - magnetically - positive and negative pulses. The aim is to leave as little residual magnetism as possible. The USG offers different programmes, which can be selected as standard via a switch on the front panel. If this is not sufficient, customer-specific special configurations can be generated using the optional monitor programme.
