Belt Feeder Sensor 653/2D
Wagner metal detectors monitor conveyor currents. As soon as a magnetic or non-magnetic metal part of sufficient size passes through the search area, it is detected and a potential-free relay contact is switched. The type 653/2D is a special divisible tandem system that has been adapted to the spatial conditions of dosing belts.
The lower part of the probe is designed so that it can be suspended between the longitudinal beams of the meter ing belt. There is a plastic sliding plate on the surface of the probe, on which the conveyor belt is guided through the tunnel opening.
Functional principle
HOW DO metal detectors WORK?
Metal objects in the conveyed material briefly and slightly change the field lines of the search field due to their metal properties as they pass through.
Any amplitude and phase changes in the field are transmitted to the control electronics.
