Plate-Demagnetizing-Unit 211 / 40
Profiled aluminium housing
Ferromagnetic parts are very often magnetised by transport magnets or by machining on magnetic clamping systems. These parts can be demagnetised with the plate demagnetising devices.
During the demagnetisation process, the workpieces are guided across the pole gap at a speed of approx. 0.06 to 0.12 m/s. It must be ensured that the workpiece is guided approx. 30 cm before and after the demagnetising device at the same speed. This process can be repeated for large parts in order to achieve a better demagnetisation result.
A plastic plate applied to the pole surface protects finished workpieces from damage. Bulk parts can also be demagnetised in a flat container made of non-magnetic material. However, in order to achieve an optimum demagnetisation result here too, the parts must not touch each other.
The duty cycle of the devices is 100%, making them suitable for retrofitting in automated systems. They can be installed upright or suspended.
In the case of high-alloy, tempered workpieces or components with complicated shapes, the demagnetisation quality can be further improved by connecting a Wagner type 244 low-frequency generator upstream.
