Centering Inserts

Fitting holes in the pole face

Centering Inserts in the pole surface of a magnetic chuck are used to enable the precise positioning and fixing of workpieces on the magnetic chuck. These recesses or centring turns are usually arranged concentrically to the centre of the magnetic chuck.

 

They facilitate the handling and positioning of workpieces on magnetic chucks and help to improve machining accuracy. This is of great importance in many production areas.

 

Centring rotations in the pole face offer numerous advantages:

  • High accuracy and repeatability
  • Precise alignment and fixing
  • Particularly useful for grinding, milling or turning.
  • Quick and easy mounting of the centring flanges
