HIGHLIGHTS & ADVANTAGES
Protective magnets
Protective magnets
The magnetic system of protective magnets is optimised to hold ferrous parts that enter the magnetic field.
As the captured ferrous parts are not discharged from the material flow, protective magnets must counteract the displacement forces in the conveying direction in particular.
Protective magnets must be cleaned regularly and are used where there is very little iron in the conveyed material.
Functional principle
HOW DO PROTECTIVE MAGNETS WORK?
Protective magnets are installed under non-magnetic material chutes. Ferrous parts contained in the conveyed material are caught and held by the magnetic field of the protective magnets. The ferrous parts collect at this point on the chute and must be removed regularly.
Customised solutions
In addition to our standard product range, we also offer customised protective magnets to suit the respective application. Some typical applications are
- Protection of conveyor belts: In recycling plants or in the food industry, protective magnets are often integrated into the discharge of conveyor belts to remove ferrous parts from the material flow and protect downstream machinery and processes.
- In particularly confined installation locations, the compact protective magnets can also be used directly above the material flow as an alternative to larger lifting magnets.
- In all these applications, protective magnets serve to improve the reliability and efficiency of machines and processes, reduce downtimes and avoid expensive repairs or production losses at low investment costs. They are an important component for safe and effective operation in various branches of industry.
