These permanent magnetic chucks are ideal for sanding work on rotary tables and cylindrical sanding machines. The 2.5 mm fine pole pitch is ideal for thin and small workpieces. The very robust, inherently stable design enables high repeat accuracies to be achieved. The use of high-performance neodymium-iron-boron magnets results in a very low overall height. The 2.5 mm pole pitch consists of 2 mm wide steel poles and 0.5 mm wide brass discs. Permanent magnet chucks are mechanically switchable. Magnetic materials based on the latest findings and a stable design ensure maximum holding forces and maximum level accuracy on the pole plate surface. Switching on and off is done with stable switching levers. In relation to the high magnetic power, only low switching forces are required. The magnetic systems do not require any maintenance. If the surface of the pole plate has become uneven after prolonged use, it can be levelled again by fine reworking. As a result, the full adhesive force and accuracy of alignment are retained.
Functional principle
Electro-magnetic clamping systems essentially consist of three components:
- a solid steel base
- a copper winding
- a pole plate
The winding is moulded into the lower part and is therefore reliably protected against vibrations and moisture ingress.

In practical use, the pole plate is subject to wear. It is therefore designed in such a way that it can be reworked many times before the wear limit is reached. The pole plate can be easily replaced, which considerably increases the service life of the entire chuck.
