Pole pitch - pole distance
Pole pitch
The arrangement of the magnetic poles on the clamping surface is referred to as pole pitch. Which pole pitch is favourable for you depends on the respective application.
Pole pitch
The centre-to-centre distance between two neighbouring unequal magnetic poles is called the pole pitch.
The following rules apply for optimum clamping:
- The workpiece must cover at least two poles in the longitudinal and transverse direction
Length of the workpiece > pole distance
- The minimum workpiece thickness should be at least half the pole distance
Thickness of the workpiece >= ½ pole distance
