The permanent magnetic chucks with radial pole pitch are particularly suitable for the centred clamping of workpieces such as saw blades, piston rings, ball bearing rings and the like. It is also possible to provide the permanent magnetic chucks with a central through-hole or centring hole.
The permanent magnetic chucks are mechanically switchable. State-of-the-art magnetic materials and a stable design ensure maximum holding forces and maximum level accuracy on the pole plate surface. Switching on and off is carried out with stable switching levers. In relation to the high magnetic force, only low switching forces are required. The magnetic systems do not require any maintenance. If the surface of the pole plate has become uneven after prolonged use, it can be levelled again by fine reworking. As a result, the full adhesive force and accuracy of alignment are maintained.
Functional principle
Electro-magnetic clamping systems essentially consist of three components:
- a solid steel base
- a copper winding
- a pole plate
The winding is moulded into the lower part and is therefore reliably protected against vibrations and moisture ingress.

In practical use, the pole plate is subject to wear. It is therefore designed in such a way that it can be reworked many times before the wear limit is reached. The pole plate can be easily replaced, which considerably increases the service life of the entire chuck.
